Battlezone is an arcade game designed by Ed Rotberg released by Atari in November 1980. It displays a wire-frame view (using vector graphics) on a horizontal black and white (with green and red sectioned color overlay) vector monitor. Due to its novel gameplay and look, this game was very popular for many years. [Wiki]
Game Boy glitches on the Nintendo logo - found when I was trying to load an old Kirby’s cartridge to my custom backlighted Game Boy.
Random logo design, crazy sprites, martian typography… this kind of graphic accidents are pure retrogaming beauty, and something hypnotic for a graphic designer like me. Do you think the same?
Brings back memories. I wonder how many hundreds, possibly thousands, of garbled Nintendo logos I’ve seen over the years. It did get kind of frustrating when you would take out the cartridge, give it a good blow, put it back in, and the logo would still be messed up.
We love gameboy.
Can you believe that The Mighty Ducks only has a 12% on Rotten Tomatoes?!
That ain’t right!
More Disney stuff through the ages here.
Title screens of various Russian bootleg Mario games. The last one seems to be © Wario in 1993.
